Monaco Yacht Show 2019: Owner
From the must-see to the must-experience for all attending owners…
Every year Monaco Yacht Show curates an exhibition of one-off superyachts built by a selection of the world’s most respected shipyards, placing them on display for all sectors of the industry, and allowing for visitors to discover the latest accomplishments in the world of superyachts. For the superyacht owner, there are many elements of Monaco Yacht Show 2019 which are a must-see and, equally, a must-experience.
Owners looking to expand their collection can take delight in the fleet of 125 superyachts present, encompassing 42 new launches as well as 40 luxury tenders. The most expensive yacht for sale is courtesy of Espen Oenio, with details yet to be revealed other than its substantial size at 102-109.99m. This is preceded by Burgess’ 82.5m Secret, which is available for to buy €100M or charter if ownership isn’t on the agenda, alongside Amels’ 83m Here Comes The Sun, which is also available for charter.
Those wishing for an enhanced experience of Monaco Yacht Show can enjoy a bespoke program through the VIP ‘Sapphire Experience’, which ensures you are provided with direct access to the most influential people in the industry, and for any questions that may arise throughout the show to be answered by the most appropriate person.
This year, the Upper Deck Lounge occupies two floors, allowing for visitors to explore the Ground Floor and its exhibition of luxury brands, accompanied by a bar and an outdoor terrace. Above on the first floor, visitors will find a restaurant and a VIP lounge with panoramic views of Port Hercules.
Visitors can further peruse an exhibition of hand-picked companies specialising in the artistic realm of superyachts, as The Starboard Exhibition Lounge showcases destinations, luxury products and arts, located on Quai Antoine Ier parallel to the Tenders & Toys and the Car Deck exhibition areas.
Owners wishing to elevate the enjoyment of their superyacht will find The Tenders & Toys area of particular interest. Showcasing a wide range of new and eco-friendly luxury items in addition to the traditional tender exhibition on Quai Jarlan, innovative toys will also be highlighted, such as Radinn’s electric powered jetboard, as discussed in the latest edition of The Superyacht Tenders Report. Tenders will be available for sea trial and reserved for potential buyers.
The inclusion of the automotive sector further increases Monaco Yacht Show’s appeal to UHNWI’s, and those wishing to pair their excursions at sea with adventures on land in vehicles of equal comfort and exquisite design. Open from 11am – 7:30pm, car connoisseurs will enjoy approximately thirty models on full display from brands including Brabus, Mercedes, Overfinch, Titan and Z’art, with a selection of vehicles available to test drive for the MYS VIP clients or visitors keen to purchasing a car.
Accompanying the exhibitions of The Monaco Yacht Show Inaugural Gala Event will take place on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, launching four days of festivities, while the Monaco Yacht Show Superyacht Awards will see 400 guests and VIP guests of MYS, as well as CEOs of the show’s partners and the industry’s leading business decision makers in attendance. According to MYS, the awards ‘will distinguish the greatest luxury vessels that will make their world debuts at MYS from the following day’. The Monaco Yacht Summit will once again return to the Yacht Club de Monaco, to coincide with the peak of the superyacht show season.
